Enderby and District Arts Council mandate is to initiate, encourage and support development of artistic projects and actvities in Enderby and District and provide opportunities for the community to be educated and engaged in in the work of artists and to provide the artists with the opportunity to display and sell their work. We strive to support a culturally rich community in which the arts can develop and flourish

What kinds of installation setup does your space have to offer?

plinths, shelf space, hanging systems, exhibition hall and gallery space. 2 locations: Courtyard Gallery (907 Belvedere Street) and Enderby Art Centre (617 Cliff Ave)

We are currently working with the local school on the Splatsin reserve to develop an art program that would meet their needs. Our Board has for many years usually had at least one member with first nation background

What are your current actions and  future commitments to build or maintain your relationship with the First Nations and Indigenous artists and community?

We have had several members of the local Splatsin Band participate in the Artisan Market at the Art Centre and we are presently working with the local band school to develop an art program

Yes

No, we do not currently offer land acknowledgements

While the Courtyard Gallery is juried, the Enderby Art Centre is open to all. The Exhibition Hall is available to artists free of charge with only a 20% commission for a one month display.
