1. The name of the society is CANADIAN ARTISTS REPRESENTATION / LE FRONT DES ARTISTES CANADIENS BRITISH COLUMBIA AFFILIATE.

2. The purposes of the Society are:

i. To initiate and support educational services which will educate all members of the community concerning visual arts in British Columbia;

ii. To assist and encourage members of the visual arts profession to make their individual and group contributions to the growth and development of visual arts in Canada;

iii. To provide informational services to assist in the development of the visual artist and visual arts as a profession;

iv. To research, publish and otherwise provide educational information for the development of the visual arts profession and for the benefit of all Canadians interested in visual arts;

v. To receive funds and any other assets by way of gifts, grants, loans or other method from public or private source, which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, will further the purposes set forth herein;

vi. To do all such other things that are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the purposes of the Society.
