Artists Working for Artists in British Columbia, Canada

Emerging Artist Membership Drive!

Calling all BC emerging visual artists!

Until October 3rd of this year, students are eligible for a CARFAC membership for only $5.00! Students of all visual arts mediums, including current student members are eligible.

Since 1990 CARFAC BC has been the collective voice for professional artists in British Columbia advocating for artists’ legal rights and offers practical advice and skill development to support the professional practices of cultural producers. CARFAC BC aims to raise the socio-economic status of our artists by advocating for artists directly, acting as a liaison between beneficial programs and organizations and artists, and producing resources ourselves for our membership and the broader arts community. The most important publication we participate in is the CARFAC-RAAV Minimum Recommended Fee Schedule, which recommends a base professional fee for a range of jobs artists do.

We have a wide range of resources created by experienced professionals that would be helpful to any artist in BC, and we encourage any student reading this to join us, and benefit from the wealth of information we can provide.

As a special benefit to any students that sign up for one of the discounted memberships, we are offering a special webinar event on October 5th called Ask An Artist, which is a joint lecture by two of our experienced members, with a Q&A section for participants to ask questions of the speakers. Only available to the first 95 people that sign up with a discounted student membership!

Please visit our join page at https://carfacbc.org/join/ before October 4th to get a discounted student membership.
