Artists Working for Artists in British Columbia, Canada

BC Galleries Catalogue Map: A Resource for Artists (& Cultural Travel Planning)

Have you seen our Map? Access the map here. Want to learn more? We hosted a community discussion about creating the BC Gallery Catalogue. Hosted by Sidi Chen, the panel included various BC arts practitioners involved in the catalogue and map development. (Recording below) We’re proud of this work and welcome any continuing feedback you may have to offer to keep improving the resource in 2025.

The BC Gallery Catalogue Project is designed to inform artists and the general public about the spectrum of choices in visual arts support organizations, including arts councils, virtual or online artist collectives, artist-run centres, public and commercial galleries, presentation spaces, museums, and Indigenous cultural organizations.

Through this project, we collaborated with dozens of Arts, Culture, and other Non-Profit organizations to create an interactive map featuring all the places around the province that offer opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers. It is an ongoing project, and any organizations wishing to join can find more information here.

Organizations who are part of the map are encouraged to contact us for any feedback, questions, and to request updates or changes at bc@carfac.ca.
